Melts’ flagship store opened in 2006 in the heart of Notting Hill. The beautiful store, designed by Michaelis Boyd has an open-plan kitchen where you can see Melt’s incredible, delicious, award-winning chocolates being made daily. The store gained loyal followers from the day it opened and rapidly gained attention further afield – our customers in Notting Hill are frequently from Japan, America and all parts of Europe.
The sleek minimal lines of our shops are designed by some of the best architects in London to be highly accessible and welcoming to all. Melt was the first to have our kitchens actually in the shop so you can enjoy the aroma of chocolates being made when you visit our stores.
A chic concession designed by Found Associates was established in Selfridges, Oxford Street a couple of years on.
Melts’ second store opened in December 2014, designed by Xuna Designs in Holland Park. It too has a fully working kitchen, where you can see Melt’s chocolatiers at work – making a dizzying array of chocolates and bars – right in front of you. You can be mesmerised by them working and intoxicated by the smell, while you enjoy a delicious coffee or hot chocolate.
The boutique also has a lifestyle element of designer pieces. These carefully curated pieces of mid-century furniture and lighting can not only be enjoyed while you sit and have a coffee.
Melt was founded by Londoner, Louise Nason in 2006, who has an incredible eye for detail and a beautiful interior design style. She has been featured in countless interior design magazines. So the pairing of luxury chocolate and style was a match made in heaven!
