 A dream house is a family home. The family is one of nature’s masterpieces – a link to our past, our bridge to the future.  A family home is a canvas on which each family member paints their own characters in layers through time.  Childhood remembrances, rare antique items, survivors from previous generations and pointers to the future. Homes are lived in for generations – changing one’s home is like felling a tree – the damage takes many years to undo.

Melt Chocolate’s Dream House Interior Design Advent Calendar is inspired by the many beautiful English homes that have lived on for centuries, just like the homes featured in the interior design magazine House and Garden, our dream house in London is filled with colour, character and unique charm.

Animals are our link to the garden of eden – elevating a home to an earthly paradise. A home with a cat or a dog is complete, finished and whole. Animals encourage the best versions of ourselves and enable us to live our best lives. All one needs in life is a library and a garden – our dream house has a library filled with books. A home without books is a body without soul. The reading of a good book is a conversation with the greatest minds.

Where words fail, music speaks for music washes away the dust of everyday life. Melt’s Dream House has proper music – a turntable to bring the concert hall to the bedroom.  To enjoy music in a dream house – you need lime-washed walls and natural fabrics – 100% natural wool and cotton.
